Grundtvig's Church is closed due to coronavirus until the 1st of April 2020.

Grundtvigs Kirke was built in memory of N.F.S. Grundtvig and designed by P.V. Jensen Klint. Read more about the church here.

Opening hours for sightseeing
Monday: closed
Tuesdag: 9.00 - 16.00
Wednesday: 9.00 - 16.00
Thursday: 9.00 - 18.00
Friday: 9.00 - 16.00
Saturday: 9.00 - 16.00
Sunday, summertime: 12.00 - 16.00
Sunday, wintertime: 12.00 -13.00

The church can sometimes be closed for sightseeing within the normal opening hours due to services and ceremonies. This goes for normal opening days and for public holidays. There is no sightseeing allowed during service.

Saturday the 20th of April 2019 the church is open for sightseeing from 12.00-18.00 due to a service the same day from 19.00-20.00.

Friday the 11th of October 2019 the church is closed during normal opening hours due to "Kulturnatten" (Culture Night). Instead the church is open from 18.00-22.00 but there is only access with a Kulturpas (Culture Pass). Read more about the Culture Night, where to buy a Culture Pass and more here.

Whit Monday, Ascension Day and Generel Prayer Day: 13.00 - 16.00

Good Friday, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year's Day: closed

On public holidays when the church is closed there is still access to the church during services. Sightseeing is not possible on these days but everybody is welcome to participate in the service. See our calendar for services on public holidays.
